The slogan borrows from the famous Stonewall campaign of 2007 demanding tolerance for gays. The campaign was later extended to include trans people. Contact: mark.birbeck@OurFight.uk ## Background Saturday, July 26th, 2025 sees the 7th annual march and rally held by London Trans+ Pride. According to Campaign Against Antisemitism polling, 80% of Jews in the UK see themselves as Zionists, which means that the LT+P announcement was aligning a belief that is widely held by Jews with the ideologies of racists and misogynists. In turn this means that any Jews who are trans or who want to attend the march to support trans people, would not be welcome. Israelis and Jews are entitled to be proud of Israel and its many achievements. Israel is also important as a haven for Jews in an increasingly hostile world. But in recent years there has been an increasing push to boycott and isolate Israel, and to drive anyone that has connections with Israel from public life. The LT+P march in London is an ideal place to launch our campaign, not only because of LT+P's earlier anti-Zionist stance, but because one of the messages of the day is that you should be proud of who you are—whether that is being proud to be gay, to be trans, of your religion, or of your nation. ## Quote Mark Birbeck, founder of Our Fight, said: > Our campaign launch is not a demonstration. We have no issue with the London Trans+ Pride march celebrating trans people and their identity. But we do believe that trans people who are proud to stand with Israel are just as entitled to make themselves visible as other people on the march. It is shocking that anyone should be made to feel wary about showing their support. > We have borrowed the famous Stonewall slogan "Get over it!" to convey that the issue of anti-Zionism is one of intolerance. The original message rightly said that those who object to someone because they are gay or trans needs to move on, recalibrate, and "get over it". We feel the same about those who object to someone that believes Jews are entitled to their own nation. That's the essence of Zionism, and people need to get over it. ## Note The original LT+P post that listed Zionism amongst the unwelcome ideas has subsequently been removed. However, LT+P have still made clear that they stand against Israel and see Zionism as inherently violent: > As an organisation we unequivocally stand with Palestine, and wholly condemn the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza and Zionist violence across the region. ## Our Fight Our Fight is a grassroots campaign group established in the wake of October 7th, to show solidarity with Israel, and to stand against anti-Semitism. It aims to convince non-Jews and non-Israelis that the rapid growth in anti-Semitism is a threat to everyone; it is something that could destroy our common values of tolerance, free speech, democracy and community.
