Israel is entitled to be proud of its flag, just as we in the UK are entitled to be proud of ours. It is not a crime to be a Zionist either, or to have served in the IDF: Israel is entitled to have an army like any other country, and needs it more than most. Many young people will have served, and their relatives and fellow citizens are rightly proud of them. Their lives cannot be blighted by international campaigns against them.

We oppose the drive to compel Uefa to expel Israel. This will increase the pace at which Israel becomes isolated more widely, in sport, culture and politically. Given the nature of the threats surrounding Israel we cannot allow this.
