Towards the end of 2024 it became clear that a campaign was being fought to dilute the essence of the Holocaust. Groups were publicly stating that local Holocaust Memorial Day events should be boycotted unless they included mention of Gaza — suggesting that the war instigated by Hamas was somehow comparable to the darkest period in human history.

This Most Important of Important Days
Mark Birbeck writes that on the first Holocaust Memorial Day after 7/10, it is more important than ever to argue that the Holocaust was a unique event, built on anti-Semitism.

As part of our campaigning work in 2025 we responded with street activities, a conference, and a solidarity trip to Israel to commemorate Yom HaShoah — Israel's Holocaust Memorial Day.

In 2026 we plan to do the same: we will repeat our delegation trip to Israel in April, take to the streets to remind people of the uniqueness of the Holocaust — a direct consequence of anti-Semitism that is unchallenged — and hold even more public events.

Tour and Seminar

The first of these events, taking place on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, will be a visit to the National Holocaust Centre, Nottingham. A guided tour will be followed by a jointly-hosted seminar with speakers from both the museum and Our Fight.

A coach will be available from north London, leaving at 9am and returning by 6.30pm. Light refreshments will be provided. The cost for the coach is £25.

Early Bird tickets for the event itself are £10, rising to £20 after April 1st. The ticket includes entrance to the Museum and its special exhibitions, a guided tour, and the jointly-hosted seminar.

Remaking the Promise of Never Again

This afternoon conference at London's JW3, featured Brendan O'Neill, Jonathan Sacerdoti, Marc Cave and others, and looked at how the Holocaust is being both denied and relativised.

Israel, Genocide and the Law

This seminar was organised as part of the Battle of Ideas Festival, 2024, to discuss the way that the word 'genocide' is being distorted. Speakers were Natasha Hausdorff, Lesley Klaff and Jonathan Sacerdoti.

Solidarity Delegation

For Yom HaShoah — Israel's Holocaust Memorial Day — we took a delegation of 16 people to Israel, many of them non-Jews, and many making their first trip.

Kindertransport Memorial

We took The Auschwitz Album display to the streets around London's Liverpool Street Station to remind the public of the Holocaust.
